NBOC Northeast Extreme Cooling BonanzaBy: GunnerWhat a difference a year makes. Not to long ago the priority of overclocking was prime/linx stability and getting those graphics cards clocked up. I haven't run p95 or linx in who knows how long and my graphics cards haven't had the pleasure of running video games. Overclocking has proved to be its own priority where the process is now everything.
Brian, Mike, and I were stoked for the weekend. Brian, also know as his handle Witchdoctor, was the man chosen to braze up a nice single stage phase change unit. Mike, also known under Dimelo, was the host or the dry ice party. And I was foating around trying to find enjoyment at every possible turn.
Unfortunately, we ran into difficulties with the phase change unit. Towards the end, we thought we had drained our refrigerant supply. It was plausible because we borrowed this tank to shave some possible cost and we really were playing with a lot of new variables. I just found out today prior to writing this article, that we did not run out of refrigerant. Right now, I don't have a definitive answer what happened while we were charging however, I can say that the unit will be finalized very soon. For now just enjoy a pic showing off the great assembly job by Brian.
I'll have an updated write-up for the single stage unit when it is completed. For now, it is time to move to the DICE! |
